Consulting
Two consulting services are available: An environmental review and advice service, and a process and practice review and advice service.
Environmental Review and Advice Service
A review of how your physical and sensory environments support or hinder different brain types. This includes the people within those environments.
Environments include, but are not limited to:
Learning environments - classrooms, lecture theatres, libraries, etc.
Work environments - office spaces, rideshare vehicles, construction site facilities, etc.
Spaces where people permanently or temporarily live - private homes, youth justice facilities, prisons, mental health residential services, etc.
Exercise spaces - sports clubs, gym facilities, yoga studios, etc.
We can review:
What neuro-informed features already exist in the physical and sensory environments e.g. acoustic panels to reduce noise, non-fluorescent lighting.
Whether the environment is currently being used as the design intended e.g. are people having hui/meetings in the open plan office or moving to a meeting room.
How people interact within the space e.g. noise levels, shared‑space etiquette.
Process and Practice Review and Advice Service
A review of the processes and practices that shape people’s experiences. We focus on making these functions more neuro‑informed so they are easier to navigate and better aligned with how people actually think and work.
Functions we specialise in include:
Client or customer ‘entry’ experiences - phoning a call centre to make an enquiry, being referred to a support service, etc.
Recruitment and selection - application forms, job descriptions, selection processes, etc.
Orientation and induction - content, delivery of information, length of sessions and first few days/shifts, etc.
Project management - project hui/meeting format and frequency, sizing and sequencing approaches, etc.
Learning and development - time of day, length of sessions, breaks, volume of information covered, embedding learning, etc.
Strategic planning and implementation - co‑design and consultation processes, steps included in the strategy to achieve diversity and inclusion outcomes, etc.
If you want us to review and provide advice on another area, please make contact to check if we are able to help. Note - we do not do financial or forensic audits, or anything outside our areas of expertise!
We can review:
The way things are done e.g. how planning hui are organised and facilitated.
If existing neuro-informed protocols are being followed as designed e.g. is an inclusive recruitment and selection process being implemented as intended, by every hiring manager.
Whether spaces and tools are being used as intended e.g. shared spaces for quiet work and online or in-person hui in designated meeting spaces.
Service Types
-
This is our unstructured, experiential review. It involves immersing myself, as the consultant, in your environment, service component, or process and assessing the experience as a real person would – without predefined criteria or checklists.
You receive verbal feedback covering what I noticed, the overall experience, and practical recommendations for making the environment or experience more neuro‑inclusive. The focus is on improving people’s overall experience.
This option is possible because my brain automatically compares what I’m experiencing with the evidence‑based knowledge I’ve built over years of studying psychology, working in mental health and justice settings, and learning about neuroscience, addiction, and neurodiversity. My neurodivergent traits – including enhanced noticing abilities, pattern recognition, and hyperconnected thinking – allow me to detect nuances and opportunities that are often invisible to others.
Cost: Hourly rate for this service is $200 (introductory offer).
This is the quickest and most cost‑effective option. I can complete a review, prepare initial insights and advice, and deliver verbal feedback within approximately 2 hours, depending on the context.
Example: What can be achieved within two hours?
I reviewed two service entry points – phoning the 0800 line and an in-person visit – for a government service delivery arm. The experiential review took about 1 hour.
Within the next hour, I was ready to share observations, insights, and advice verbally. This included positive, neutral, and negative aspects of the experience, the impact on neurodivergent clients and the organisation, brief neurodiversity-related education, and recommendations for improving service‑user and staff experiences.

This is our structured audit. We work with you to agree on the specific areas, functions, or environments to be reviewed, along with the criteria that will guide the assessment. This option is suited to organisations and businesses that want a thorough, evidence‑informed review and clear, practical written recommendations.
Depending on the scope, we will collaborate with other experts (with your permission) and draw on relevant research to support the review findings and recommendations.
Cost: The hourly rate for this service is $350 (introductory offer). This option requires more time and is more in‑depth, so a minimum of 12 hours is most likely needed.
The process typically includes:
discussing and confirming the criteria to be reviewed
completing the structured review using agreed methods
analysing findings and preparing written advice
meeting with you to discuss insights, recommendations, and next steps.
